I am at the beginning of chapter 2 & I am already writing about this…it is already that good. I have had my eye on this book for a while, but wanted to finish some other books first. BUT I started reading it today at the bookstore & could not put it down…if it hadn’t been for the guy chewing his sandwich loud enough for me to hear a table away, I would probably still be at the bookstore reading.
I will preface with saying this — this is not a book I think every woman should read…BUT….if you are a go-getter, get out of my way, bust your tail, dreamer, & dream chaser THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU! [pardon my excitement, but I couldn’t help myself].
I am a business woman. Always have been. I have been dreaming up businesses since I understood what the world meant. I have started & stopped multiple businesses, but I don’t consider them failures. I look at each business & each idea as a stepping stone to where I am & where God has led me today. I see each business venture & each job I have had as a step to uncover what I truly want to do. I have tried & failed & picked myself up & kept on going. That is what a business woman does. I am passionate about it in a weird, almost geeky kind of way…I know that & I own that!…..back to the book…..
The introduction opens with “The Only Thing I Smoke Is My Competition” & the first chapter opens with “A #girlboss knows when to throw punches and when to roll with them”…
Hook. Line. Sunk!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to finish this & really tell you what I think, but I really think I’m going to love it. The reviews I have seen so far have been outstanding. I don’t think this is a book every woman will understand or appreciate, but already I think it is a book that every woman who is a big thinker, hard-core dreamer, or go-getter will love.
