Down here in the South, front porches are important. Front porches are where you celebrate & comfort. Front porches are where you kick your feet up after a long day or take a breather because your day has only begun. Front porches are where important conversations happen & welcomes start. During the summer you grab a glass of lemonade & pop a squat & just talk. During the cooler months, you grab a cup of coffee & a warm blanket & watch the day begin. Yes front porches are a big deal here. They are a place you can do life together & that’s a big deal to me!
Back in this post, I told you a little about what lead me here & when I started HFL (a few months ago) I knew there would be changes & additons. Well, God has been doing a lot of work in my life lately. He has been showing me things I dreamed of & things that make me think He has the wrong woman. But, I guess in all truthfulness, when God calls us to do something rarely, if ever, do we feel equipped. This great bit of wisdom on that exact subject, came from a friend “God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called”. Man did that strike me right in the heart.
As I have approached this challenge, in just a week I’ve been participating, I have felt God begin to stretch me. Just the other day, I was telling was friend I knew God is going to do big things this month. I know God has something big in store for me & I have an idea of what, but who am I to box God up & tell him what He is going to do. I don’t know what his plans are for me, but I am super excited to see where he is leading.
My hope for this month is to develop a habit of writing/ blogging. So much of a habit that if I don’t write, I yearn for that creative outlet. I already have next month planned out. I even have an outline for the next 12 months planned out. So I hope to see you here often, even after this challenge is over. I hope that you can begin to count on me. Knowing when to look for something new. I hope we become part of eachother’s lives.
Thank you for sharing this space with me.
